Four details must agree

• Chain pitch
• Drive-link gauge
• Number of drive links
• Bar mount and approved bar length

A chain with the correct pitch can still be wrong if its gauge or drive-link count differs. The saw model and the markings on the existing bar and chain provide the safest starting point.

Check before you buy
